In-House Art Shows

“Earth Day” An art and writing exhibit of student work created in class or independently that celebrates our earth and the importance of the health of our environment.

“Power to the Artist” – An art and writing exhibit that makes a strong statement about issues student feel strongly about. To address the social and environmental issues they (students) are most passionate about, students have contributed their creative talents to developed theatrical scenes, musical performances, visual art, and service learning projects that will inform, challenge, and inspire an audience to action.

Community Outreach

Visual Arts Programs partake in field trips to Getty Villa and Getty Center, LACMA, MOCA, MOMA, Norton Simon with parents as chaperones.  Guest speakers from various art schools, FIDM, Art Institute, SCAD and Art Center, to name a few.

Community Art Shows

“CSUN Annual High School Invitational” – Held every year at California State University Northridge.  The exhibit showcases student work from close to 40 San Fernando Valley high schools. Selected by members of each school’s art faculty, the works include a variety of media, content, and expression from the highest level of high school talent in the area.

Canoga Park Art Festival – LAUSD’s largest art gallery, showcasing over 450 pieces of art that were submitted by over 15 local area schools, with art and activities that all come together to make a successful event. El Camino art students take away several awards from this event every year.
